5 Quick Tips to a Hot Home Listing

How to get the line around the corner when selling your house?

Okay, before you say it, I know the 2021 housing market is outrageous, and in some areas simply saying you are thinking about selling your house will get you a barrage of phone calls from prospective buyers and their eager realtors. There are areas, however, that have a slower turnover rate.  If your home is in an area where the market is slower, these 5 quick tips can draw in the crowd, especially now that Spring is on the near horizon.  They will help your property sell more quickly and for a higher selling price.

Not everyone can afford to do a full upgrade of their home before selling but there are some things that everyone can do to improve the way their home looks to a potential buyer.  They can make some shifts in furniture placement, reduce clutter, and increase the cleanliness of their home. If you have a green thumb, this is the time to head to your local home improvement store or garden expo center to begin to spruce up the face of your home. Now that we have taken care of the inside and the outside of your home, the next important step is to determine the starting price for your home. The starting price of your home will decide who sees your home as well as how compelling that price is for them to purchase. In a seller's market, when there more buyers and fewer houses to buy like we are seeing in 2021, the starting price may also be the lowest price you would accept. Whereas in a buyer’s market, when there are more houses for sale than buyers to buy them, the starting price may be your goal selling price.
